• Device Information: Basic device information (operating system, app version) for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Homestead Daily app experience.
• To process AI-powered features such as plant identification, disease detection, and farm assistant responses. Photos and questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for analysis but are not stored permanently.
• To sync your farm data across your devices.
• To send you important updates about the app (launch announcements, critical updates).
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability.

4. AI Features & Photo Processing

When you use AI-powered features (plant identification, health photo analysis, farm assistant), your photos and questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for processing. These submissions are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently by either Homestead Daily or Anthropic. We do not use your photos or farm data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Period. We only share data with:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): For processing AI features, as described above.
• Firebase (Google): For analytics and crash reporting.
• Cloud hosting providers: For secure data storage and backup.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your farm data is stored locally on your device and securely backed up to our cloud servers using industry-standard encryption. You can export or delete your data at any time through the app settings.
