The Homestead Year Binder
A full year of chicken logs, garden plans, monthly reviews, quarterly check-ins, and a year-end wrap — all in one printable 60-page binder.
No app required. No spreadsheets. No shame if you skip a week.
Small-batch printable product from Homestead Daily. Download as PDF, print at home or any office supply shop.
I kept a binder on my own homestead for two years before I built any of this software. It was the thing I actually reached for in the barn — not because paper is magic, but because it already knew where my flock numbers, feed costs, and close-out notes lived.
When we started Homestead Daily, I figured other folks might want the binder too — cleaner, tighter, and designed so year two is easier than year one.
That's what this is.
— Kyle, Homestead Daily
Here's what you'll actually print.
Three pages pulled straight from the PDF. No mockups, no stock photos.

Monthly spread
Priorities + weather + weekly chore planner

Feed-cost worksheet
The single most useful number on a small homestead

Quarterly review
30 minutes with the binder each season
One-time purchase · 7-day refund · Instant PDF download
A year of structure you can print tonight.
Sixty pages. Nine sections. Every page designed to get filled in, flipped back to, and marked up.
Welcome + legend + year setup
Three rhythms (weekly, monthly, quarterly), a handful of quiet principles, and a one-time January setup checklist so the binder runs itself after day one.
Year at a glance
Twelve-month spread for goals, seasonal markers, and the big moves — chick orders, garden starts, culls, major expenses.
Twelve monthly spreads
Three pages per month — priorities + weather notes + weekly chore planner, daily logs (eggs, expenses, income, observations), and a 15-minute close-out to catch what worked before it fades.
Four quarterly reviews
Thirty minutes with the binder each season. Numbers, what worked, what struggled, one thing to change next quarter.
Year-end wrap
Year in Numbers, Year in Stories, Carrying Forward — the three-page look back that turns twelve months into a year you can actually learn from.
Feed-Cost Worksheet
Four steps to the single most useful number on a small homestead — cost per dozen eggs — and what to do with it.
Decision Rules
The quick answers for “something's off” — flock, garden, money, and you. Not rules exactly. More like what the binder would tell you if it could talk.
Pairing with the app
One page. How the binder works alongside Homestead Daily if you use both. Zero pressure if you don't.
About + Notes + Index
First-person note from Kyle, two blank notes pages for margin-scribbles, and a full index so you can find anything in under 15 seconds.
The whole thing
60 pages · US Letter · single-sided
The back of every page is blank on purpose — room for margin notes, coffee rings, the occasional muddy thumbprint.

Honest answers
If yours isn't here, email support@homesteaddaily.app and I'll answer it myself.
How do I print it?
Home printer or any office supply shop. US Letter, single-sided. Three-hole punch for a standard one-inch binder, or spiral-bind it for about five dollars.
Do I need the Homestead Daily app to use this?
No. The binder is complete on its own. If you use the app too, there's a one-page guide showing how they fit together — but it's optional.
What if I don't start in January?
You don't have to. The binder doesn't care what month it is. If it's July when you open this, start in July.
Can I print this every year?
Yes. One purchase, personal use, print as many copies as you need. Please don't share the PDF — send folks to homesteaddaily.app/binder if they want their own.
Refund policy?
Seven-day refund window. Full policy is just below this FAQ — short version: email support@homesteaddaily.app within 7 days of purchase and we'll work it out.
Is this a subscription?
No. One-time purchase. Lifetime access to this edition plus any v1.x updates.
