End-User License Agreement

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and JHF LLC, doing business as Homestead Daily ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Homestead Daily mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this EULA, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes. This license does not grant you any ownership interest in the App or its content.

2. Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App or any part thereof.
  • Redistribute, sublicense, lease, rent, loan, or otherwise transfer the App or any rights therein to any third party.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained in the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
  • Use the App to transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its underlying infrastructure.

3. Intellectual Property

The App and all of its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, and the underlying code — are the exclusive property of JHF LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in this EULA are reserved by JHF LLC. The Homestead Daily name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of JHF LLC.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with and relies upon the following third-party services. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers:

  • Firebase (Google):Used for authentication, data storage, and analytics. Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Claude AI (Anthropic):Powers the App's AI-assisted features including plant identification, animal health analysis, and farm advice. AI-generated outputs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
  • Intuit / QuickBooks:Provides optional financial and accounting integrations. Use of QuickBooks features is subject to Intuit's Terms of Service and privacy policies. We access only the data you explicitly authorize, and you may revoke access at any time through your Intuit account settings.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service. Third-party services are provided "as is" and their use is at your own risk.

5. Data Collection & Privacy

In order to provide and improve the App, we collect and process certain data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App under this license, you acknowledge that data you enter — including animal records, production logs, photos, and financial information — is stored and processed solely for the purpose of delivering the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data shared with third-party services (as listed in Section 4) is limited to what is necessary for the functionality you have enabled. You retain ownership of all content you create within the App.

6. Subscription Terms

The App offers the following subscription tiers:

  • Free: Core features at no cost. The free tier will remain available.
  • Pro: $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Includes expanded AI features, advanced reporting, and priority support.
  • Enterprise: $11.99/month or $89.99/year. Includes all Pro features plus multi-user access, financial integrations, and dedicated support.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You may cancel at any time through your device's app store; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. AI-GENERATED CONTENT IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY, AGRICULTURAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JHF LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, LIVESTOCK, CROPS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS EULA SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license to use the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate any provision of this EULA. You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App from all of your devices. Upon termination, all rights granted under this EULA will cease immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination. Sections 3, 7, 8, and 10 shall survive any termination of this agreement.

10. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State in which JHF LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

11. Changes to This EULA

We reserve the right to modify this EULA at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised EULA.
